Clean Energy in Massachusetts!

Posted by Westinghouse Water Heating on Dec 11, 2015 11:00:01 AM

As you may know, many of our high efficiency products are manufactured in Massachusetts.  Massachusetts has become a national leader in clean energy generation. Check out the below article from NextStepLiving to learn more about the state of clean energy!

Mass Clean Energy Report.JPG

A national leader. Here’s something to celebrate: Massachusetts is No. 1 in the country for attracting investments in clean energy technology, beating out states like California by far. The Bay State has also installed 1 gigawatt of renewable energy capacity, a huge milestone, while continuing to advance technologies for clean energy generation and storage.

A powerful economic force to be reckoned with. The state’s green sector continues to add more and more ‘energy’ to its economy by contributing more than $11 billion and representing a sizeable slice of the Gross State Product. Investment in clean energy now exceeds $549 million in Massachusetts, fueling small businesses and large companies alike.

Record-breaking job growth. Since MassCEC started tracking the state’s progress five years ago, Nearly 6,500 green employers have created more than 40,000 new jobs, increasing the state’s clean energy sector by a whopping 64%. This past year saw the highest percent in job growth with the clean energy industry now employing nearly 100,000 workers just in the Bay State. On top of all of that, these clean energy jobs tend to pay well with three-quarters of workers earning an average of $50,000 or more.

Needless to say, the progress in Massachusetts’ clean energy sector is clearly a win-win-win for the planet, the economy and those building their green-collar careers. Here’s to even more growth in 2016. ‘

Find out what people are saying about our electrics!

The reviews are in! Everyone seems to agree that our High Efficiency Electric units are worth the buy. Read the reviews below -

Built-to-last hot water heater WEC080C2X045

This stainless steel heater is the best hot water heater I've owned so far. I've installed conventional hot water heaters lined with glass only to have them develop leaks within a couple years. A ten-year water heater warranty does not cover labor, so if you have my bad luck with glass-lined hot water heaters, you will end up paying more money in labor to maintain and replace glass-lined heaters over time. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra few hundred dollars for a stainless steel hot water heater. This heater is also compact so it fits narrow spaces but it is a bit taller.

This gives a very fine first impression WER040C2X045

This gives a very fine first impression. It recovers from a hot shower in less than ten minutes. Unplugged for twelve hours (during which time no hot water was used) and plugged in again, it had retained heat so well that it didn't even turn on! It ought to have an LED pilot light to indicate when elements are on, so I designed and installed same, and I know when it comes on and for how long. It almost never comes on except to recover from usage which it does very rapidly.
