They are asked to donate their gently-used clothes, books, toys and things they no longer need or use and volunteer to organize and package tons of donations transformed into thousands of individual gift packages for children in need. [The South Coast Humane Society](http://hsssc.org/)'s mission is to provide humane professional care and placement of unwanted, abandoned and stray animals in the South Coast area. Many animals will spend the holiday's in a shelter and with that in mind, they have created a list of items they need to ensure the best care for these pets.
