This stainless steel heater is the best hot water heater I've owned so far. I've installed conventional hot water heaters lined with glass only to have them develop leaks within a couple years. A ten-year water heater warranty does not cover labor, so if you have my bad luck with glass-lined hot water heaters, you will end up paying more money in labor to maintain and replace glass-lined heaters over time. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra few hundred dollars for a stainless steel hot water heater. This heater is also compact so it fits narrow spaces but it is a bit taller.

This gives a very fine first impression. It recovers from a hot shower in less than ten minutes. Unplugged for twelve hours (during which time no hot water was used) and plugged in again, it had retained heat so well that it didn't even turn on! It ought to have an LED pilot light to indicate when elements are on, so I designed and installed same, and I know when it comes on and for how long. It almost never comes on except to recover from usage which it does very rapidly.
